I think I've gathered enough folks to make this fun. Now, I'm gonna set up a simple LJ community to make tracking our progress easier and more efficient. This way we can avoid having to sift through our friends pages for comments solely regarding the game. Info on that will be posted soon.

As for the DRAFT: I think we will conduct it at the Trina gathering (the date and time of which is still TBA) and anyone who cannot attend will be called on the phone whenever their two minutes of draft choosing is to be carried out for each round. If you cannot be reached on the phone, all draft proceedings will be posted on the designated community and you can make your choices based on who has already been chosen. One rule is that we do not double up on anyone (EX: If Connie gets the Depp, no one else owns the Depp for the time alotted). I ain't about to go King Solomon on actor's asses for the sake of the game. They must remain whole.

CAITY! profile update. I had a fuck load typos and grammatical errors. yet.. because that means my peer editors didnt do thier job i didnt get deducted. And combined with the fact that she loved you, i got an A :D. She was dissapointed i didnt included an exerpt of your column though, she wouldve liked to read it. lol.

Gary says we have to do somthing special for you now, cause i couldnt of done it without you. Isnt he sweet?

This sounds like fun :) As for the gathering, how's either August 6th or 7th sound? During those two days I'll be having my garage sale, so it'll have to be at night. Course, if Connie and Brenda are coming, it can't be on a Sunday...hmm. Maybe it'll have to be that Saturday. I'll do some more thinking and get back to you. At Connie's request, it's gotta be an old-fashioned movie party (like when I forced you all to watch Elijah in the Bumblee movie) and I'm going to subject you all to some inde film Kiefer-loving :) Before or after that we can work out the fun details of the game. Do we all get to pick who we want in randomized turns like fantasy football? I mean, we draw to see who goes first and in what order and everyone picks one at a time till we're done? (That's the limits of my fantasy football knowledge, lol)

Si, randomized. We'll draw numbers out of a hat or some shite. Let's try for Saturday late afternoon/evening (I get out of my dad's store at 4 and can come straight over if you feed me... but if you wanna have it earlier during the day, i can probably convince my sister to switch days with me). we'll figure it out

It'll probably have to start around at least 5 or 6...I'll have to wrap up the garage sale, move everything inside the house for the night and take a shower since I will have been outside all day :) Any idea how many people we're talking about here? Cause for the "movie" part of the "party" I was just thinking maybe you, Connie, Brenda, Annie (if she's in town)...(am I forgetting anyone??). The old school crowd, lol. So if it looks like it'll be a lot more people than that maybe we'll have to do the movie/going away part seperately :)

5 or 6 sounds fine. How about watch the movie, nosh, bevvies (not too much as we will need our brains for the draft). Each person will get 90 seconds to write down one actor, one actress, one director, and one TV star on a post it note or something. I'll be writing up the official rules and instructions today and putting it on the official community.

I'm pretty sure Brenda and Connie will be there at the very least. Annie says she can't :( Maybe Connie will invite Sarah. Not sure.

Sounds cool. Only for "bevvies" how about beer? :) (My dad gets completely freaked out by the idea that I drink any type of hard liquor, so I try not to around him-lol)

How will we divide the actor/actress from the tv star? I mean, someone like Kiefer :) (and a ton of others) who do both? If we put someone down as a tv star, then does that mean (for the purposes of scoring) we'd only count their tv success and not film for the time allotted? And how about making it an even five and including a producer? ;) Or writer, even? Or how about prop master? Hehe... nevermind.

yeah beer or beer-like things (like bacardi O or mudslides or something) is it BYOB?

I knew the Kiefer question was coming. For our purposes, if you choose him as a Tv actor, then he can't count as a movie actor for teh purposes of the game.

I was gonna make it an even five, but then i thought it might be too much trouble to keep track of so many people our first time out. I'd be more than willing to try that for the next game (if this one proves successful enough) :)

Aww..I forgot :( Are you going to quit your job anytime soon, or are you getting the weekend off for the wedding? Just curious - I thought I remembered you saying a while ago that you were thinking of quitting...

Anyway, we totally have to get together on a weekday then, whenever's best for you. I'm leaving Orlando Sunday and leaving Spring Hill...who knows. lol. Most likely (unless my older bro/sis mess it up lol) I"ll be leaving around August 12th-ish. And my home address is 1079 Florian Way SH FL 34609.
